PDP faction Promotes Gender Inclusion, Inaugurates Female Youth Wing
A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has inaugurated Female Youth Wing in the party structure to promote gender inclusion, and strengthen participation of young women in politics towards expanding the party's grassroots base.
At the inauguration in Abuja, PDP factional National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, said the initiative reflected the faction's commitment to empowering women and youths as key drivers of democratic development and national progress.
PDP National Youth Leader, Ibrahim Bala-Aboki, described the new structure as a platform for deeper youth engagement, grassroots mobilization, and greater inclusion of young women in party activities nationwide.
In her inaugural address, the Director-General of the PDP Female Youth Wing, Hon. Loveth Isieto, described the development as a historic first since the party's founding in 1998, saying it would give young women a stronger voice and greater visibility within the party.
She said the wing would focus on leadership training, mentorship, voter education, policy advocacy, digital mobilization, and community engagement, stressing that no political movement can thrive while sidelining its female youth population.
