Organized by the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, the initiative inaugurated 10,000 canvassers in Osogbo on Saturday. Supported by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo)—who donated 30 vehicles to the cause—the coalition gained explicit backing from Osun State Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi (representing Governor Ademola Adeleke), who emphasized cross-party unity for the presidential poll while clarifying that the partnership remains focused specifically on the presidency.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord Party in Osun State have launched a cross-party mobilisation campaign targeting at least 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

The campaign, led by the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, brings together political figures from the APC, Accord, a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party and some members of the African Democratic Congress.

At the inauguration of the movement's state and local government structures in Osogbo on Saturday, 10,000 canvassers were inaugurated to mobilise voters across the state.

The movement's Grand Patron, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, also donated 30 vehicles and other campaign materials to support the exercise.

Represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, Tompolo urged Osun residents to support Tinubu's second-term ambition, setting a target of at least 90 per cent of votes cast in the state for the President.

He attributed the call to what he described as the administration's economic reforms and their impact on state governments' finances.

“We are in Osun State canvassing for votes for a man who has done so well for the South-West because we believe in the man and his reformation agenda,” he said.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, also endorsed the mobilisation effort, describing the gathering as evidence of political cooperation across party lines.

Adeleke said the coalition had agreed to work towards securing between 1.5 million and two million votes for Tinubu, urging members to put aside previous political disagreements.

“Our unity of purpose and determination to join hands for the re-election of Mr President is manifested today by this assembly of supporters across party lines,” he said.

He, however, clarified that the coalition's partnership was primarily focused on the presidential election.

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, represented by the APC governorship candidate in the 2026 Osun election, Bola Oyebamiji, said Tinubu's re-election campaign was attracting support beyond the traditional boundaries of the ruling party.

Oyetola said the alliance had a responsibility to translate its political declarations into votes at polling units across the South-West.

The National Coordinator of the movement, Sunday Asuku, also urged residents to turn out for the presidential election, arguing that Tinubu's economic reforms justified another term.

Osun has 2,339,233 registered voters, with 1,906,390 having collected their Permanent Voter Cards, according to figures cited at the event.
