Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has dismissed having any deal with the African Democratic Congress, ADC, for the August 15 governorship election in the state.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed, in a statement, repudiated
ADC's claim that they assisted Governor Adeleke to defeat the All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate.
Olawale Rasheed maintained that there was no deal or alliance with the ADC before, during, or after the election.

The National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, had said the party helped Adeleke to defeat the APC.
Incumbent Governor Adeleke won the election with 511,067 votes on platform of the Accord, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the APC and others.
