The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, in the 2027 general elections, Peter Obi, has become significant cynosure to the grassroot population, sustaining phenomenal inroad in the urban metropolis and urban periphery, extending into the hinterlands across the country. Wherever, he steps his feet, Obi is often surrounded by harmless mammoth crowd, harnessing rising profile.
A large crowd gathered along the road in Benue State waiting, when they heard that Obi made a stopover at a fast-food restaurant in Otukpo, Idoma Land.
In a recent visit to Edo State, the crowd was immense, people surrounded and accompanied Obi, as though, they were on pilgrimage.
How Obi can convert this social fortune into political advantage in the 2027 general elections is on the drawing board.
