The President of the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN), Chief Ayandele Ayanleke, will on Friday be installed as the Onibise of Komu in Oyo State.
Ayanleke will be installed by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, during a coronation, installation and presentation of office ceremony scheduled for September 18, 2026.
The ceremony will hold at the Ibise Market Square in Komu, an ancient community in the Oke-Ogun area of the state, from 10am.
A statement issued by the Oyo State Government on Wednesday said Ayanleke would assume the traditional stool as Oba Ayandele Olaitan Oyebisi Ayanleke-Elegbede.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Mining Engineers, Ayanleke has over two decades of experience in mining operations and administration.
He is also the Director of Mining Operations at Topmost Minerals and Allied Resources Ltd in Oyo State.
Before becoming national president of the Miners Association of Nigeria, Ayanleke served as the association’s National Secretary.
As president of the association, he has advocated policy reforms, protection for indigenous mining operators and stronger collaboration between the private sector and government to develop Nigeria’s mineral resources.
