The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources in Lagos State, Dr. Tokunbo Wahab, has repudiated a trending video portraying deep flood with high current on Lagos Island part of the state, obstructing traffic.

The Commissioner rather said the flood occurred in Bangladesh and not Lagos State.

The Environment Commissioner cautioned that the dissemination of inaccurate information can mislead the public and undermine genuine discussions about issues affecting Lagos.

Wahab argued: "the deliberate dissemination of false information and misleading narratives not only undermines the efforts of the Lagos State Government but also diminishes the credibility of genuine complaints raised by well-meaning residents."
