Former President Goodluck Jonathan has refuted reports insinuating he was offered ₦500 billion to contest the presidential election to weaken Peter Obi's influence in the south.

The report insinuated that former President Jonathan rejected bribery offer of N500 billion to the presidential election and divide votes in the South-South and South East.

The Special Adviser on Media to former President Jonathan, Ikechukwu Eze, in a statement on Sunday, declared that the report was “completely false and without any foundation.”
