Governor Makinde stated this in a message delivered by the Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde, during a special road walk organised to commemorate Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
The event, held in Ibadan, the state capital, attracted top government functionaries, political appointees, civil servants, artisans and members of various professional bodies.
The governor, while speaking on the economic situation in the country, said some of the challenges were partly linked to external factors, including disruptions to global logistics chains arising from the Israel-U.S.-Iran conflict.
He expressed optimism that the situation would be resolved soon, leading to improved economic conditions within the next year.
