Seemingly imitational leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, under Nafiu Bala Gombe, on Thursday, staged a counter protest at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Bala Gombe, leading a crowd to the Independent National Electoral Commission headquarters, Abuja, demanded the enlisting of his name on INEC's Portal "in line with a Court of Appeal directive" as ADC leader.

Gombe, in a media interaction, said the party is facing a deepening leadership crisis, which he described, as an attempt to hijack its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He accused the party leadership, under David Mark, of orchestrating an illegal takeover following the resignation of former chairman Ralph Okey Nwosu.
