Fayose Calls For Obasanjo's Suspension From PDP

The Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose has called for the immediate suspension of former President Olusegun Obasanjo from the Peoples Democratic Party.

Fayose who condemned the visit of Obasanjo by the five PDP governors on Thursday, described the visit as unwarranted, unnecessary and uncalled for.

The governor who spoke through his Special Assistant on Public communication Lere Olayinka, alleged that the former President was already a member of the All Progressives Congress and pushing for one of his loyalists to be the party's Vice Presidential candidate.

He urged the party leadership to set up a panel to probe Obasanjo's anti-party activities, adding that the PDP as a party must stop condoning indiscipline.

He faulted Obasanjo for openly castigating President Goodluck Jonathan, adding that Obasanjo does not appreciate people, so he himself deserve no respect.

Fayose said no amount of visit would change the mind of former President Obasanjo, noting that it is difficult to please him since he chose APC to PDP.

According to him, Obasanjo is behaving unpresidentially and he must be told to respect himself.
