The Adewole Adebayo-Bugaje Presidential Campaign has urged Nigerians participating in “Tinubu must go” protests to channel their grievances into votes in the 2027 presidential election.
Chief Communications Adviser to the campaign, Mark Adebayo, made the call in Abuja, accusing the administration of President Bola Tinubu of worsening economic hardship through what he described as harsh and insensitive policies.
Adebayo said protests alone could not resolve the country’s challenges, urging Nigerians dissatisfied with the government to use the ballot box to demand political change.
He said the 2027 election should focus on choosing leaders with policies capable of addressing Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.
The campaign endorsed the Social Democratic Party presidential candidate, Adewole Adebayo, as its preferred alternative, citing his proposals on unemployment, food insecurity, economic instability and insecurity.
Adebayo also criticised Tinubu over his decision not to personally attend the 2026 United Nations General Assembly in New York.
He said the President had missed an opportunity to address what he described as lingering controversies surrounding his international engagements.
The campaign adviser called on youths, labour unions, civil society organisations and other Nigerians dissatisfied with the current administration to support Adewole Adebayo in the 2027 election.
He said the campaign was preparing for nationwide mobilisation under its “Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity” message.
