Members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have removed it deputy speaker, Sunday Pete and some other principal officers of the house.

The deputy speaker was immediately replaced by Emmanuel Tsamdu, a member representing Madagali  who had recently defected to APC from PDP while Hassan Burguma replaced Musa Mahmud as the Majority Leader of the house.

Deputy Majority Leader, Mutawali Mohammed was also replaced by Abubakar Isa while Mrs Justina Nkom lost her position to Mr Lamsumbani as the Minority leader.

The motion to remove these key officials was moved by Abubakar Hayatu (APC-Uba/Gaya) and seconded by Abubakar Abdurrahman (Mubi South).

Speaking to news men after the sitting, the lawmakers said the officers were removed as a result of the desire of the legislative arm of government to move the state forward, denying any involvement of the executive arm in the development.
