The Directorate of Stakeholders Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, South-West, has promised massive mobilisation for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other party candidates across the region.

The Zonal Coordinator of the group, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) made this known while addressing newsmen at the end of the stakeholders’ engagement in Lagos on Tuesday.

Fashola, a former governor of Lagos State and former Minister of Works and Housing, said the party in the six states of the zone agreed that no aggrieved member would be left behind, promising to ensure they returned before the general elections.

The zonal coordinator explained that representatives of the six South-West states had clearly demonstrated the performance of the Tinubu administration.

“The South West wants continuity of the programmes and policies of the present administration.

“The region has promised to go back to their various constituencies to ensure that everybody who is a stakeholder is sensitised to turn out en masse to vote for the President and other APC candidates in 2027,” he said.

Fashola disclosed that the stakeholders discussed the need to build effective political structures across the six states of the South-West.

The zonal coordinator urged political stakeholders across the South-West to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand political engagements ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Fashola noted that 10 representatives from each state had been invited to participate in the consultation to share ideas and make recommendations that would guide the party’s activities in the region.

The former governor stressed that political mobilisation must go beyond existing party members to include artisans, community leaders and other influential individuals capable of impacting electoral outcomes.

Fashola urged state representatives to set up a stakeholders engagement committee at the local government area and ward levels.

Also speaking, a former governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, said representatives of the party’s various interests across the region expressed satisfaction with President Tinubu’s administration and agreed to support his re-election bid.

He acknowledged that the government is facing challenges but maintained that its policies and programmes are beginning to produce positive results.

Mimiko, particularly, highlighted developments in the education sector, noting that the introduction of a more predictable academic calendar in tertiary institutions had brought relief to students and their families.

He also identified improved access to tertiary education and the expansion of digital infrastructure, including fibre-optic connectivity, as important areas of progress.

Mimiko said the stakeholders believed that the administration’s ongoing programmes provided a basis for continued support of President Tinubu.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that also in attendance are the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and Sen. Gbenga Ashafa, among others.
