Police Arrest 2 Armed Robbers, Recovers illicit Drugs In Delta
The Police have arrested two suspected armed robbers in Delta State. The robbers were in possession of large quantities of substances suspected to be illicit drugs, at the time of arrest
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Edafe Bright, in a statement, indicated that the arrest was effected by the command's Anti-Vice Squad Ughelli, in collaboration with members of the Vigilante group, who linked the suspects to a series of robbery incidents within Ughelli and its environs.
According to the police, the team stormed their hideouts, leading to the arrest of one Moses Francis, who led the police to the arrest of the second suspect named Cosmos, as they confessed their involvement in series of armed robbery.
The suspects are currently in the custody of the police, after leading the team to the recovery of large quantities of substance, suspected to be illicit drugs, including Codeine , Tramadol, among others.
The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, commended the operatives for their professionalism and resilience, as he reaffirmed the command's commitment to dismantling criminal networks in the state.
