Military Apprehend 3 Females Facilitating Communications For ISWAP Terrorists In Konduga IDP Camp, Borno
The military have apprehended three female informants to ISWAP terrorists, operating from Internally Displaced Persons, IDP, camp in Konduga, Konduga Local Government Area, Borno State.
The Nigerian Army, in an intelligence operation, identified the three women linked to facilitating communications with ISWAP terrorists in Borno State.
A security analyst, Zagazola Makama, was cited to stated that troops arrests the women following interception of communications, which leaked plans to move a woman to a terrorist-controlled zone.
Troops of the 222 Battalion, Mechanized immediately carried out swift operation at an Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs camp in Konduga, where they arrested the three women.
The women were perceived to be involved in communications that notify the terrorists on movement of civilians, to aid the terrorist targets, and calculated attacks in North East Nigeria.
The women were said to be the custody of the military, undergoing interrogations as investigations continued. The military seek to identify additional links within the network.
