The Islamic Movement in Nigeria has said that its leader, Ibraheem El-Zakzaky was being treated like a criminal in India faulting the Nigerian government as the mastermind of his ordeal.

Addressing journalists in Abuja, the group also known as Shi’ites alleged that the cleric who was flown to Medenta Hospital in New Delhi alongside his wife, Zenat on Monday was suffering some form of harsh treatments from Nigerian security operatives who accompanied them on the trip.

The group alleges that some countries are also working against the Zakzaky’s treatment in India, and that they are going all out to achieve their aim.

After about four years in custody, Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife finally got their wish to get medical attention after a Kaduna High Court permitted them to do so.
