The House of Representatives on Wednesday resolved to constitute an adhoc committee to investigate the circumstances leading to the untimely death of a four year old Miguel Ovoke.

This followed a motion of urgent public importance moved by Hon. Kelechi Nwogu.

The media has been awash with the pathetic story of the death of Miguel Ovoke, a four year old boy who was reported dead under suspicious circumstances at the brick wall school, Kaura district, AMAC, Abuja, on the 24th April 2024.

 This ugly incident has led to public outcry with Nigerians as well as the Parliament seeking to investigate the true scenario of the matter



The House is to set up an adhoc committee to investigate the matter and report back for further legislative action.

 In a related development, the House moved in favour of a motion on the importance security presence in schools across the nation



 Also at plenary, the House moved in favour of a motion seeking to investigate the security breach that led to the escape of Binance executive from custody



A motion was also moved and adopted on the urgent need for the restoration of National grid to the  Northeast sub region and for the upgrade of transmission conductors therein.



 The House adjourned plenary till Thursday for further legislative action.
