Police parade suspected criminals

No fewer than sixty persons have been paraded by the Ogun state police command for various criminal offences.


The state Police commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu while parading the suspects, told newsmen that the command has made appreciable progress as a result of the useful information from members of the public. 

It was a harvest of criminals at the Ogun state police command ‎where quite a number of suspected persons were arrested for impersonation as either fake police officer or soldier, while several others were nabbed for kidnapping, cultism,  armed robbery, amongst others. 

The commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu says, the parade was an evident of the command's war against crime and criminality which is yielding positive outcome.

The police boss further reiterated his commitment in ensuring the state remains inhabitable for criminals, urging residents to further share relevant information to the police‎.

Some of the suspects confessed to the crime, stating their resolve to turn a new leaf.

Items, including, cash, cut to size guns as well as pump action guns, live and expended cartridges, trucks, among other operational gadgets were recovered from the suspects.
