Police Deploys Special Force To Tackle Crime In Southwest
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has revealed that measures had been put in place to equip the police to effectively fight crime, without risking their lives.
The IGP made this known while addressing men and officers of the Ogun State Police Command at the Command's headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta,
Adamu disclosed that the Federal government would soon provide state of the art equipment to assist the Force to effectively combat crime.
He stated that, the federal government had acquired patrol vehicles laced with security camera that would enable any police patrol team identifies and clearly diagnose crime scenes even from a faraway distance.
He maintained that a special security force would be deployed in the south-west to combat crime without much hassle.
