Kano Police command is assuring residents of the ancient city of Kano and its environs of peaceful Yuletide season.

The state commissioner of police, Habu Sani said there's a robust arrangement on the ground with an operational order that will cover all sectors and divisions in the state. He said order has been given to divisional heads and area commanders to ensure the maintenance of law and order in the Kano throughout the season. 

It would be recalled that for the first in a decade under the former Kano police commissioner and now AIG zone three, Ahmed Illiyasu Kano celebrated a peaceful Sallah celebration devoid of the usual hick ups orchestrated by street urchins and rival political gangs;, a feat the current Commissioner is trying to repeat during this Yuletide season. Habu Sani called on well-meaning residents to remain law-abiding as they go about their normal business.

Kano has been accessed by opinion leaders as one of the most peaceful States in the north.
