Oyo Govt vows to resuscitates abandoned silos
Oyo state government has declared its readiness to resuscitate the Moribound agricultural silos in the state located in awe, Oyo town in the interest of farmers across the state.
The commissioner for agriculture and natural resources, hon. Muyiwa Ojekunle who gave the assurance during an on the spot assessment tour of the facility expressed shock and displeasure on the state of the silos.
Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the silos project is among some of the projects abandoned by the administration of Abiola Ajimobi but which has been taking over by the Seyi Makinde government.
Hon. Ojekunle assured farmers and other residents that the project will soon be completed for the rapid development of the agricultural sector in the state.
The commissioner disclosed that the state government is trying to make agriculture attractive to the youth in the state through the provision of required facilities while the contractor handling the project called for proper assessment of all the equipment that had been on the ground for years.
