The OSUN state government has appealed to residents to dispel rumors making the rounds that Southwest security outfit, Amotekun has religious coloration.

The state government also called on residents not to allow people to cause disaffection among them.

The Chief press secretary to the Governor, Ismail Omopidan said this while reacting to a statement from a Muslim group that Amotekun has religious coloration.

Oppidan said no Christian group was part of the group that agreed on the formulation of the Security outfit.
