Nigerian Red Cross seeks better funding

Nigerian Red Cross seeks better funding

Following it contribution to the day to day activities of human life, the Nigeria red cross society Anambra state chapter seeks the intervention of well meaning Nigerians for it sustainability and welfare.


The society who spoke through the state’s vice chairman Professor Peter Kachy   lamented abandonment which has led to poor funding of the society thereby reducing their productivity.

Peter maintained that the society have about 187 member nations including Nigeria and solicited  more attention and financial support  in order to harness it full potentials.

Adding a voice to improved funding for the organization, Vivian Ifechukwu a beneficiary of Red cross in the past, advocated that such an important organisation shouldn't be neglected.

The Nigeria red cross society was founded through an act of Parliament in 1960.  It currently has it branches throughout the 36 states of the federation with it headquarters in Abuja.
