A Non-Governmental organization has launched a new campaign to empower communities with rich resources in the Niger Delta with Data to hold government and extractive companies accountable for their activities in the area.

The campaign tagged ‘Wetin We Gain’ in Port-Harcourt is said to create awareness for oil host communities in demanding their rights.

Speaking on the campaign, the director of policy alert, a transparency analyst and a policy expert expressed their views.

The campaign is to draw the attention of government towards companies extracting natural resources from communities, and the need to make payments to the appropriate quarters.
