Issue travel documents to Nigeria in Libya..
The House of Representatives has urged the Nigerian Mission in Tripoli, to issue emergency travel documents to stranded Nigerians in Libya, to enable them return home.
This was due to the mass slaughter of Nigerians in Libya.
In a motion raised at Tuesday plenary, Honourable Chukwuma Umeoji, drew attention of the green Chambers to the massive killings of Nigerians in various detention centers across Libya, especially during the bombing of Tajoura detention centre.
Umeoji also expressed concern over the battle for control of Tripoli, between Libya warlord, General Khalifa and the United Nations, saying this would further endanger the lives of Nigerian Migrants in Libya.
Two other recommendations of the motion were adopted and the house agreed to set up an ad-hoc Committee to visit Libya for an-on the spot investigation of the state of Nigerians in various detention centers across Libya as well as what the Nigeria Mission is doing to assist them.
The Committee is expected to report back to the house within four weeks for further legislative actions.
