Insecurity: IGP Appears Before Senate to Brief on Insecurity.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu is currently briefing the Senate on the state of security in the country, and measures to address the growing concerns on the worsening situation.

Galaxy’s Godfrey Eshiemoghie reports that Nigeria’s Police boss is in a closed-door meeting with the Senate on the concept and practical implementation of modalities of Community Policing.

The thrust of the meeting is to assess Nigeria’s security challenges and the urgent need to restructure, review and reorganize the current security architecture to be in tune with present realities.
