Herdsmen set another farm on fire

Some suspected Fulani herdsmen have set on fire, the farm belonging to the former secretary to the federal government and a chieftain of Afenifere, Chief Olu Falae.


The farm was the same place the elder statesman was abducted on his birthday and it is situated at Imafon an outskirt town of Akure, the Ondo state capital.

Confirming the incident, the public relation officer of the Ondo state police command, Femi Joseph said the police is aware of the development and is currently investigating to unravel those behind the disastrous act.

This comes in few days after some suspected herdsmen invaded the farm land, belonging to a former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Admiral Samuel Afolayan (retd), and burnt his 20 hectares of orange plantation, 20 hectares of cassava farm and five hectares of palm plantation on his farm.

The ex- naval chief put the loss at over N200 million, on his farmland of about 500 hectares..
