Unspecified numbers of Students have been abducted by gunmen at the campus of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State.

The Director of Information, Protocol and Public Relations of the University, Mrs Rosemary Wako, disclosed this to newsmen today Monday in a statement, saying the abduction took place Sunday night.

According to Mrs Wako, the University has not heard from the students nor the captors since the unfortunate incident, however says the police authorities have been notified.

This incident is coming barely a week after students from Greenfield University were abducted with three killed by their abductors along Abuja - Kaduna road.
