Former Niger Delta Minister Resigns from PDP

Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs under former president Goodluck Jonathan Godsday Orubebe has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party PDP.

In his letter of resignation written to the National chairman of the party Iyorcia Ayu made available to Galaxy TV news, the former Minister said he has informed the ward 3 chairman of the party in his Burutu local government area of Delta state, stating that he ceases to participate in all activities of the PDP.

He frowned at what he described as the present situation in the party which he described as not good enough to win the presidential election come 2023.

He described the emergence of Atiku Abubakar who is a Northerner as the party presidential candidate as against the party constitution.

He however promised to restrategize on his next move, while also commending the Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike for putting up a gallant fight during the PDP presidential primary in Abuja.
