The Delta state police command says it has arrested one Nnajiofor Nweke a father of a student who attends Alihame mixed secondary school Agbor, for allegedly flogging a teacher to death.

 

The Delta police command spokesperson Edafe Bright made this known in a statement made available to Galaxy news, saying the son of the suspect and his friends went to a palm wine shop to steal two palm wine kegs and the case was reported at the sons school, which led him to be disciplined by his teachers .

 

According to the police, the father of the boy in protest stormed the school where he flogged teachers in sight repeatedly, which later led to the death of one of the teachers after he slumped.

 

The suspect is currently undergoing investigation at police headquarters in Asaba for a case of murder.
