Residents of Effurun in the Uvwie local government area of Delta state have called on the Delta state government to prevail on security agents, to ensure constant patrol of the fly-over bridge in the council in preventing robbery.

This is coming after cab drivers who ply the bridge day and night expressed their dissatisfaction towards the incessant attacks by hoodlums who take advantage of the dark to rob the unsuspecting residents.

On the need to check robbery attacks on the bridge, some victims call on the Delta state government to light up the area, and blame unemployment as a major problem in the state.

It will be recalled that since the commissioning of the bridge two years ago by former Governor Emmanuel  Uduaghan,  attacks on innocent citizens have increased with policemen only visible in the daytime.
