The commissioner of police in Ekiti state, Amba Asuquo has promised to unravel the mystery surrounding bank robberies in the state.

He made the promise on Friday in Our Ekiti when he paid a visit to the scene of a bank robbery at a new generation bank in Oye Ekiti.

This is coming barely two after armed robbers invaded a bank Emure Ekiti killing a police officer.

In the latest incident, a police officer and a ten-year-old girl were also killed and an unspecified amount of money carted away.

Asuquo who said similarities exist in the modus operandi of the armed robbers suggested there may be connivance between the bankers and the robbers.

A police station close to the bank was also attacked by the robbers.

The monarch of Oye Ekiti, Oba Ademolaju Oluwole said the experience was devastating for residents of the community.
