The Police, at the weekend, dismissed the insinuation of bomb explosion in Kaduna State, and attempted to erase panic emanating from the insinuation.

The Kaduna State Police Command, in a statement, acknowledged the explosion at Mondo Motor Park in Kaduna, but clarified that a luxury bus, belonging to Silver Luxury Travel, had a minor explosion due to overfilling of its CNG gas tank.

The incident occurred on April 5, 2026, at about 3:00am. Detectives were quickly deployed to the scene, and preliminary findings confirmed it was an accident.

No one was hurt, and no property was damaged. The vehicle has been moved to a safe location, and the area is secure.

The Commissioner of Police, Cp Muhammad Rabiu, has ordered a full investigation to prevent similar incidents in the future. The bomb disposal unit has also been at the scene.

The Police enjoined the public to verify information before sharing, especially, about security matters, to avoid causing unnecessary panic.
