The Ogun state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps says it has gone into collaboration with the management of the Joint Admission Matriculation Examinations to nip in the bud computer-based centres who charge candidates unreasonable amount in the ongoing JAMB examinations.

Rising from this development, the command says it has arrested two persons for allegedly extorting prospective applicants.

Parading the suspect at the command's headquarters in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, the NSCDC Commandant in the state, Hammed Abodunrin says the proliferation of tutorial centres was a major concern as most of the centres engaged in fraud and corruption during registrations and examinations.

The commandant adds that charging above the stipulated fee of 4,700 for the 2020 UTME registration and thereby making illegitimate money was an act of fraud and corruption.
