The Coalition of Niger Delta Groups has urged the 10th National Assembly to immediately boost the budgetary allocation for the Federal Ministry of Regional Development, emphasizing that increased funding is critical for implementing projects and programmes that will improve the living standards of millions across Nigeria.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, General Prince Omoko, representing the coalition, said the ministry’s broad mandate and the scale of infrastructural development required make adequate funding essential.

He commended Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, for his achievements in infrastructure, training, and empowerment, noting that his leadership aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The coalition also pledged full support to the minister, promising to work with him and the President toward success in the 2027 general election. They urged unity and collective action, stressing that progress requires collaboration across all sectors.
