Thirty Airmen and Airwomen have taken another important step toward supporting safe and efficient air operations after successfully completing the Basic Air Traffic Control Assistant (ATCA) Course 24/2026 at the Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC), Kaduna.
The intensive training, which commenced on 15 June 2026, combined classroom instruction, continuous assessments and practical training to build essential competencies in Air Traffic Services.
The graduands achieved a 100 per cent success rate, with an overall class average of 82.6 per cent. Their training covered critical areas including Air Traffic Management, Navigation, Meteorology, Communications, Aeronautical Information Services and Radio/Radar Procedures, complemented by educational visits to 401 Flying Training School and Hassan Usman Katsina International Airport.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Commandant ATSTC, Air Vice Marshal NB Folaji, charged the graduands to uphold diligence, discipline and teamwork as they begin the next phase of their professional journey.
The 30 new Air Traffic Control Assistants will subsequently proceed to designated operating fields for further practical, on-the-job training, where they will apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills in support of Nigerian Air Force air operations.
