The Federal Government says it has secured 653 convictions in terrorism cases involving suspects arrested by security agencies across the country.
The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), disclosed this while speaking to journalists at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Fagbemi also gave an update on the ongoing third phase of terrorism trials, which involves 980 suspects.
He said seven suspects had been discharged and acquitted in the proceedings.
The update comes as the government continues prosecuting suspects arrested by security agencies over alleged involvement in terrorism-related activities.
