Faith leaders in Kaduna State have credited Governor Uba Sani’s administration with improved religious harmony and relative peace in the state, saying the development has created an atmosphere for greater development.

The clerics made the remarks at a Special Interfaith Dialogue organised by the Kaduna State Bureau of Interfaith at the Brigadier Abba Kyari Banquet Hall.

The gathering brought Muslim and Christian leaders together to discuss peaceful coexistence and the need to sustain harmony in the state.

Speaker after speaker commended the governor’s approach to governance, arguing that Kaduna had witnessed improved peace and development since Sani assumed office.

The leaders also called for continuity in the policies of the administration, describing Sani’s three years and four months in office as a period of increased development and peaceful coexistence.

Governor Sani and the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, addressed the gathering, while the Christian Association of Nigeria chairman in Kaduna, Rev Caleb Ma’aji, and the Secretary-General of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam, Prof Khalid Aliyu, were among the speakers.

The Kaduna State Bureau of Interfaith said the dialogue was designed to deepen understanding and strengthen peaceful coexistence among the state’s diverse religious communities.

The participants stressed the importance of sustained engagement between religious leaders and government in preserving peace and promoting development across Kaduna.
