Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC Abuja Zonal Command have arrested 29 suspected internet fraudsters.
They were arrested at Apo, Gwarimpa and Katampe axis of Abuja following actionable intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet fraud.
Items seized from the suspects include 43 phones of different makes, six vehicles and two smart watches.
They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

FCT Police have arrested a man for allegedly firing a pistol sporadically at a Kubwa market in Abuja on October 25, after operatives from the Kubwa Division were deployed and successfully disarmed him.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has suspended an officer following an incident where he allegedly fired shots into the air during a altercation with traders at Kubwa Market in Abuja.
“Raheem and his co-conspirators allegedly obtained hundreds of stolen identities, filed fraudulent tax returns using that information, and laundered the proceeds through prepaid debit cards and purchases of used cars that were shipped to Nigeria and other locations,” said U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg."
