The Nigerian Army has warned the Nigerian public to be wary of fraudsters who parade themselves as Nigerian Army recruitment agents.

Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman gave the warning at a media briefing held at Army headquarters in Abuja.

General Sani said the warning is neccesitated in view of the wave of extortions from individuals desirous to join the Service.
The 12 persons are already noted to be involved in this nefarious activities out of which 3 have been apprehended.
The DAPR re-emphasized that recruitment into the Nigerian Army remains free and any monetary involvement in this regard is nothing short of fraud.
