Former Miss Taraba, Comfort Williams, has died, barely a year after she was appointed Assistant Managing Director of Prime Planet Event Managers, organisers of the Mr and Miss Taraba beauty pageant.
The organisation announced her death in a condolence statement shared on Facebook on Monday by its Chief Executive Officer, Disebe Donga.
Williams, who was crowned the 10th Miss Taraba in 2023, was appointed Assistant Managing Director in January 2026 as part of a seven-member leadership team unveiled by the organisation.
Prime Planet described her death as a devastating loss, saying she was an important part of the organisation whose contributions and memories would remain cherished.
“This heartbreaking loss has left us deeply devastated. She was not just a member of our organisation but an important part of the Prime Planet family whose presence, contributions, and memories will forever remain in our hearts,” the statement read.
The organisation added that Williams would be deeply missed, while extending its condolences to her family, friends and loved ones.
“You will forever remain a part of the Prime Planet family. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten,” it said.
Williams was named Assistant Managing Director alongside Tabitha Adda, who became Managing Director, and Leah Lot Mangbon, appointed Head of Contestants, under the new leadership structure known as Team 7.
In October 2024, the former beauty queen joined other Taraba pageant winners on a visit to Senator Manu Haruna at the National Assembly in Abuja.
Prime Planet did not disclose the circumstances surrounding her death.
