Nursing mothers at the Braithwaite Memorial Hospital (BMH) in Port Harcourt the Rivers state capital staged a protest over non-availability of basic facilities at the hospital.

Some of the women who spoke with Galaxy Television, expressed displeasure over poor state of facilities provided by the management for pregnant women and nursing mothers

They called on government to come to their aid and make provision for better maternal healthcare as part of efforts to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

However, no management staff was available for comment concerning the plights of the nursing mothers as at the time of filing this report.
