The NCDC issued the advisory on Wednesday after reviewing the evolving outbreak in the DRC and consulting public health experts and the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
The centre said travellers arriving from countries with active or relevant Ebola transmission would be required to complete the Health Declaration Form as part of enhanced surveillance and follow-up measures. Travellers from other countries are currently exempt from the requirement.
The NCDC also urged Nigerians to remain vigilant for symptoms associated with Ebola and seek medical attention promptly if symptoms develop, particularly where there is a history of travel or exposure.
The latest DRC outbreak figures showed 7,672 confirmed cases and 3,699 deaths as of September 20, based on data up to September 19.
The number of patients in isolation rose to 886, while 58 new confirmed cases and 23 deaths were recorded compared with the previous report.
The latest cases were reported in Ituri, North Kivu, Haut-Uélé and Tshopo provinces, while 1,879 people infected with the Bundibugyo virus have recovered.
About 79.9 per cent of identified contacts in affected provinces were under follow-up.
The DRC has recorded 197 new confirmed cases and 94 deaths since the September 18 report, highlighting the continuing public health threat.
The NCDC said its measures would be reviewed as the epidemiological situation develops and as further risk assessments become available.
