President Donald Trump of the United States, U.S., has resolved to protect Nigerian Christians against killings by Islamic terrorists.

U.S. Secretary of War, Hegseth, made it public that the U.S. President has assigned to the Pentagon the responsibility to ensure the protection Nigerian Christians targeted by Islamic terrorists, who include ISIS.

He was of the view that the assignment culminated in the successful killing of ISIS’ second-in-command who was hiding in Nigeria

Hegseth added that U.S. intelligence guided the intervention security operation that resulted in the killing of “hundreds” of ISIS fighters. He said that these global terrorists attacking Christians in Nigeria, constitute threats to the U.S. homeland.

It will be recalled that U.S. forces were deployed to Northern Nigeria to partner Nigerian military in the fight against terrorists.
