The family of late Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has appealed to the public for financial support for his widow and children following his death.
The appeal was shared on the singer’s official Instagram page on Wednesday, October 21, a week after his death. Titled “A Call for Love and Support”, the message urged well-wishers to assist his wife as the family mourns.
“As we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, let us stand with his wife during this difficult season. Every contribution, no matter how small, is a gesture of love and compassion,” the family said.
The accompanying flyer, bearing the words “Toluwani Lives On”, provided bank details for donations intended to support his wife and children. The family did not state a fundraising target or deadline.
Toluwanisings died in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026. His death sparked reactions across social media, particularly following claims by his personal assistant that efforts to obtain emergency medical care took them to several hospitals in Ibadan. The family has not disclosed the cause of death.
The singer’s family has also announced a Night of Tributes and Service of Songs in his honour. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, at 3pm at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State. Attendees have been asked to wear white.
Toluwanisings was known for gospel songs including “Onibuore”, “Elagbara”, “Owo Re Meji Meji” and “A Very Big God”.
