Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has criticised women who pursue married men, describing the act as “serious madness” and urging women to uphold moral values.

The actress shared the message in a post while addressing women she accused of deliberately pursuing other women’s husbands.

Edochie argued that every woman possesses unique qualities and questioned why some women would choose to pursue married men instead of seeking partners of their own.

“There's no woman that doesn't have an inner chamber both in front and behind. Every woman has sufficient milk bank too,” she wrote.

She continued by questioning why some women could not use their qualities to find suitable partners for themselves rather than pursuing another woman’s husband.

“The reason some women can't use those features to secure a good man for themselves but would rather go after another woman's husband is still unknown to me till now,” the actress said.

Edochie then warned women who she believed fell into the category, using the Igbo expression “Ara ga agba gi,” which roughly translates to a warning that the person may lose their senses.

The actress further encouraged such women to reconsider their actions and return to what she described as the teachings and ways of God.

She also appeared to anticipate reactions to the post, telling followers with what she described as a “guilty conscience” to proceed to the comments section, while inviting those with a “clear conscience” to engage with her message.

Edochie concluded the post by saying she was “always here to teach morals,” maintaining her characteristically outspoken approach to social issues.

The actress did not identify any specific woman or reveal whether the message was directed at a particular person.
