Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has assured members of the National Youth Service Corps of the state government’s commitment to their safety and welfare during their service year.
Sani gave the assurance on Friday during the swearing-in and opening ceremony for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I NYSC Orientation Course at the scheme’s temporary orientation camp in Kaduna.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Gloria Ibrahim, the governor welcomed the corps members to the state and urged them to uphold discipline, patriotism and responsible citizenship.
He described the NYSC as a key institution for promoting national unity and integration among Nigerian youths.
Sani also assured the NYSC leadership and corps members that the ongoing rehabilitation of the orientation camp would continue until the facility becomes one of the best in the country.
“Kaduna State Government remains committed to the welfare, security and general well-being of corps members serving in the state,” he said.
The newly posted NYSC State Coordinator, Abubakar Bawa, also urged corps members, NYSC officials, government authorities and host communities to work together to strengthen the scheme.
Bawa called for cooperation among all stakeholders, saying it was necessary for the effective operation and progress of the NYSC in Kaduna State.
