The House of Representatives Committee on Finance has issued the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, two weeks to recover over ₦19 billion owed by foreign airlines operating in the country.

While the airlines had been invited to appear before the lawmakers, the Managing Director of FAAN, Olubunmi Kuku, appealed for restraint in line with International Air Transport Association, IATA, rules.

The Committee also met with the National Health Insurance Authority and the Nigerian Integrated Water Resources Management Commission, requesting additional documents from both agencies.
