inDrive has announced a N132 million reward scheme for drivers in Lagos and Abuja, with cars, school fee support, smartphones, television sets and shopping vouchers among the prizes on offer.
The campaign, running from October 5 to December 16, will produce 916 winners through six live-broadcast draws, according to the mobility and delivery platform.
Two cars will be awarded to drivers who record the highest number of completed rides during the campaign, while other prizes include four full academic-year school fee awards, 40 smartphones, 40 television sets and 830 shopping vouchers.
Drivers must reach the platinum tier to qualify, with each completed ride counting as an entry. The company said drivers who complete more rides will have more entries and therefore greater chances of winning.
Country Manager, inDrive Nigeria, Timothy Oladimeji, said the initiative was aimed at giving drivers additional value from their participation on the platform.
“Our drivers are at the heart of the inDrive community, and we want to continue creating meaningful ways for them to benefit from being on the platform,” Oladimeji said.
He said the reward programme was also consistent with the company’s model, under which drivers and passengers negotiate fares.
“With inDrive, drivers have greater control over their work, can agree on the price with passengers and keep more of what they earn,” he said.
Oladimeji added that the latest campaign would extend that approach by directing more value to drivers through prizes that include cars, school fees and consumer electronics.
The company said the campaign was designed to reward drivers based on their activity, with higher ride volumes increasing their chances of winning.
The full eligibility requirements and terms of the campaign are available on the inDrive app.
