Alia Swears In New High Court Judge

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, in Makurdi, sworn in Justice Christine Terlumum Clement Ende as a new High Court Judge, making her the 33rd high Court judges in the state.

Governor Alia urged the new judge to let her decision be anchored on justice and equity, while expecting her conduct to continue to inspire confidence in the judiciary and strengthen public trust in its legal system.

Administering the Oath and swearing in ceremony at the Government House, Makurdi, the Governor said his administration remains steadfast in the "He" for "She" philosophy; recognizing that sustainable development and effective governance can only be achieved when women are given equal opportunity to contribute their talents, expertise in nation building, believing that empowering women is not entirely on fairness but a strategic imperative for societal progress.

Justice Christine Terlumum clement Ende thanked the governor for the appointment and National Judicial Council for the recommendation. She promised to uphold the constitution with the fear of God.
